Ratings: ‘The Mountain’ still king

Proving that last time was no fluke, “The Mountain” was again the most popular radio station in metro Phoenix, according to the latest Nielsen audio ratings. This, despite losing a big chunk of its audience share. That’s because “K-E-Z” also lost listeners and tied for the runner-up spot with KSLX, which experienced a percentage decline despite climbing in the rankings.

In fact, each of the top seven stations came away with a smaller piece of the pie. So where did the listeners go? Some apparently tuned into KTAR, which rebounded strongly to #8. Also, “Live” showed a modest increase in audience share despite falling to #10.

Some Spanish language stations also fared well, with “La Campesina” (KNAI) and “Que Buena” (KHOT) each up half a ratings point to land at #11 and a #15 tie, respectively, while #17 “Amor” (KOMR) gained a full ratings point.

Dropping out of the top 10 was public radio “K-Jazz” (KJZZ).
