Ratings: KSLX is new #1 station

Despite losing audience share, classic rock KSLX slipped into first place according to the latest metro Phoenix radio ratings from Nielsen Audio. That unusual feat was made possible by three-time champ “The Mountain” suffering a whopping loss in audience and tumbling to #3. Meanwhile, “K-E-Z” continued its rebound and moved up to the runner-up spot.

Live” saw a huge increase in audience share and returned to the top 10 (at #7) after a one-month absence, dropping “Camel Country” (KMLE) to #11. KOOL also turned in a strong book, moving up four spots to #5. KUPD ticked up in audience share yet dropped a notch in the rankings to #6.

In the battle for pop gold, “Oldies” (KAZG) slipped ahead of classic hits “The Oasis” (KOAI) for the first time, landing at #24 and tied at #25, respectively.

These results represent radio listeners age 6 and older during an average quarter hour from 6 a.m. to midnight daily.
