Ratings: ‘K-E-Z’ leads static top 5

The top five stations stayed in place according to the latest Nielsen Audio ratings for metro Phoenix. “K-E-Z” gained audience share and led all comers for the second straight book – the final survey period before the station’s annual switch to all Christmas music. Runner-up “The Mountain” also gained listeners.

KSLX (#3) lost some audience share, as did “Kiss FM”(#4) and KUPD (#5) but all maintained their rankings from last time, while “Mix” climbed to tie at #5.

KOOL fell back to#8 with its 1980s/1990s classic hits format, but surprisingly switched to all Christmas music on November 5, setting up a Yule-tune battle with “K-E-Z” next time.

Moving back into the top 10 is “Live,” which tied “Camel Country” at #10.

With the end of the baseball season and the lousy performance of local teams, “Arizona Sports”(KMVP) lost almost an entire ratings point and fell from a #13 tie to #21.

The Oasis” (KOAI) showed a significant gain in audience share, moving up three places to tie at #19,while oldies rival “Arizona Gold” (KAZG) also added listeners, but held steady at #26.
